Eleanor Collier and Associates
Eleanor Collier is an experienced Marketing Director who has advised and worked with brands across Ireland, the UK and the USA.
She is Founder and Director of Eleanor Collier and Associates, specialists in marketing, writing and editing. She provides marketing consultancy, strategy and content services to many of Ireland’s blue-chip brands and SMEs with a particular focus on media brands.
After an early career as a newspaper journalist and editor, she joined RTE as Public Relations Executive for the RTE Orchestras and Performing Groups. She was later Marketing Manager for RTE Radio with responsibility for three national stations – RTE Radio 1, RTE 2fm and RTE lyric fm – playing a key role in its start-up.
Eleanor was subsequently appointed Group Marketing Manager for RTE, across television and radio. After a number of years, she moved from RTE to become part of the start-up team and Marketing Director for Ireland’s first dedicated sports tv channel, Setanta Sports, where she managed national campaigns around Barclays Premier League, Rugby World Cup, GAA and golf.
Eleanor has authored and edited a wide range of publications. She was recently involved in editing Irish hardback The Visual Time Traveller, a graphically-curated journey through 500 years of History, Art and Science (21st Century Renaissance) which received stand-out reviews in the Sunday Independent, Irish Examiner and Irish Times.
She edited and managed the publication of RTEs first Brand Definition and Guidelines, working across RTEs business divisions to streamline the overall on-air and off-air identity for the group.
Eleanor was recently appointed as Board Director and Marketing advisor to ChildFund Ireland. ChildFund Ireland is an independent Irish not-for-profit organisation working with children, families and communities across 27 countries in Africa, Asia and the Americas. ChildFund aims to develop an enabling environment where children’s basic needs are met and their rights are promoted and respected.
Eleanor joined the Board of Dublin Fringe Festival in 2012 and has a particular input in the areas of marketing, fundraising and strategic development.
